Bailey Vapour Barriers
A choice of aluminium, polythene and bituminous vapour barriers to meet demands of sustainability, safety, low cost and speed of installation. Different application methods including torch on, loose laying and self adhering mean Bailey have a vapour control solution to all situations.
Bailey Laminal
An SBS modified, bituminous vapour barrier with an aluminium core. Laminal can be torched both sides, to bond to the substrate and for bedding insulation boards into the top surface. This gives considerable cost savings and eliminates the need of adhesive or the use of the dangerous hot bitumen boiler. Alternatively it can be mechanically fixed, the laps sealed with a hot air gun and the insulation bonded to the sanded top surface using Bailey Sure-bond PU adhesive.

Bailey Duo-Vap
An elastomeric SBS bitumen based vapour barrier with an untearable reinforcement. Duo-Vap is self-adhesive on both sides with easily removable film, ensuring a rapid and safe installation.

- Extremely robust membrane, ideal for use over profile metal decking – resists foot penetration
- Suitable for single ply and bituminous systems loose laid, adhered or mechanically fixed.
Bailey Poly-Vap
A fully sustainable product, manufactured from 100% post-use polyethylene waste. 1000 gauge polythene has a high puncture resistance, providing a cost-effective vapour barrier solution.
- Manufactured from 100% recycled consumer waste
- High tear resistance – reduced damage during installation
- Loose laid – quick and easy to install
- Lowest cost option for mechanically fixed single ply systems (not suitable for bitumen or adhered systems)
