Bailey Eco Roof
Bailey Eco-Roof is one of the only entirely ‘green’ systems in the market place. Intensive, extensive and biodiverse planting used in conjunction with Bailey Atlantic sustainable single ply waterproofing, creates a roof that is both environmentally responsible and beneficial. Other solutions are available from Bailey’s comprehensive range of anti-root bituminous membranes, with either torch-on or flame-free installation.
- Extensive systems involve the planting of plants such as sedum,
mosses, succulents, herbs, grasses and wild flowers for environmental and aesthetic reasons, rather than for recreation. - Intensive systems are designed to create a garden at roof level, by planting shrubs, trees, coppices, grassed areas and installing hard landscaping.
- Biodiverse (brown roof) systems include reproducing the environment and natural habitats lost to building.
- Secure choice for any flat roof requirement, not only introducing a creative dimension to the flat roof project but provides many financial and environmental benefits, including; reduced heating and cooling costs, rainwater attenuation, reduced flood risk, improved visual appearance, reduced CO2 pollution, heat absorption, reduced noise pollution, and provision of a natural habitat for displaced flora and fauna.
- Bailey offers extensive systems in pre-grown and fully established modules which can be simply placed on the roof and interlocked, totally eliminating intensive labour and minimising establishment periods. For a more conventional application the individual layers can be supplied separately
- Suitable for retrofitting to an existing roof or other waterproofing products that are not root proof, by simply laying a Bailey Eco-Roof Root Barrier Membrane.
- All systems can be constructed using standard Eco-Roof products in varying depths and capacities.
