Bailey System 17000
Bailey System 17000 is a range of superior torch-on, waterproofing systems for use on any type of roof, including flat, pitched and barrel vaulted. All System 17000 products are manufactured with an untearable spunbond polyester carrier, producing flexible and resilient membranes with a life expectancy in excess of 30 years backed up by long-term guarantees. Certified by BBA makes System 17000 a totally secure solution for any flat roof whether installed as a single layer or multi-layer system.

- APP- (actactic polypropylene) modified bitumen capsheet and underlay with an untearable spunbond polyester carrier, resulting in a flexible and resilient membrane.
- Resistant to breakdown by UV light ensuring a life expectancy in excess of 30 years.

- Standard products include 3.0kg/m2 underlay, 4.0kg/m2 sanded capsheet and 4.5kg/m2 green mineral capsheet with various other coloured mineral finishes to special order.

System 17000 Plus
PAO- (poly alpha olefin) modified single-layer bituminous felt membrane, combining the best properties of SBS- and APP-modified bitumen to create a membrane with excellent heat resistance and cold temperature flexibility.- PAO modification combined with a dual polyester/glass carrier gives added strength yet flexibility to produce the finest flat roofing product on the market.
- Cold temperature flexibility of -25°C and high temperature resistance of 160°C.
- This single layer system is particularly suited to overlay projects in both cold and warm roof constructions, but can also be used on new build and other refurbishment applications.
- Available as standard in a 5.2-5.6kg/m2 green mineral capsheet, with various other coloured mineral finishes to special order.
- With only one layer to install, System 17000 Plus is a competitive and rapidly installed waterproofing solution, achieving up to a 20 year insurance backed guarantee.
Self-bond underlay
- A unique bituminous felt underlay developed using thermal adhesion technology.
- Self bond underlay can be loose laid over the substrate, with the laps sealed by torching.
- The operation of torching the capsheet to the underlay thermally transmits heat through the membrane, activating the adhesive on the base of the underlay, thus adhering the underlay to the substrate.
- This product reduces the amount of labour and materials required to complete the waterproofing, eliminates fire risk and enables a quicker, safer and more competitive installation.
- Self bond underlay can be used instead of the traditional torch-on System 17000 underlay, for 15 year guarantee systems.
