Generally we have set procedures for the management of projects following the PRINCE2 process (click here to find out more https://www.prince2.com/uk/what-is-prince2). Day-to-day, typically some of my key tasks are:
– Catching up on calls emails
– Requesting Information from customers
– Chasing designers for drawings
– Liaising with manufacturing department
– Review scope of projects
– Pricing variations
– Obtaining authority to progress to manufacture
– Updating project programmes
– Preparation of reports
– Customer relations
Our culture of always driving to do better across the whole business.
The most challenging aspect is gathering sufficient information from customers to make a meaningful start on the design stage of a project. To get past this I support customers with regular, friendly reminders and make sure they understand the effect on the project programme if the information is not forthcoming.
