Shop Floor Supervisor
Take us through a typical day at Bailey for you…
I check emails, plan work schedules, make sure deadlines are hit, assist with every department on the shop floor, make decisions daily and chase work through for projects – it is always very busy indeed.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Bailey?
It’s bespoke! I love it – nothing is ever the same and we face new challenges daily.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your job and how do you overcome it?
There are various different personalities on the shop floor, and it’s hard to please everyone. I have to make sure I personally visit every member of staff on the shop floor daily to see that their needs are met.
What advice would you give to someone who would like to work as a Project Engineer
Have a strong head on your shoulders and always be prepared for a challenging day ahead.
What three words would you use to describe the company?
Do you have any nickname? What is it?
I probably have many nicknames as supervisor so I’ll leave that there…!
If you had to eat one meal, every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Steak with mushroom sauce and triple fried chips – LUSH!
If you were stuck on an island what three things would you bring?
1. Fishing equipment
2. Suntan lotion / umbrella, depending on where I was stuck
3. A lighter
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I spend my spare time with family, as I’m away from them during work.
What is on your bucket list?
Go to a Day of the Dead event in Mexico.
If you were given a choice, where in the world would you like to go?
Revisit the Maldives. Can’t beat the sand, the sea – it’s such a beautiful place.
