Snap-On I-Line and Fascia System

The new terminal covers approximately 2,700 square metres and has a modern glass and stone façade. Designed to accommodate 2,400 passengers, the building comprises a full height concourse containing check-in desks and the arrivals and departures area, with views over the concourse and an observation balcony overlooking the Port.
The terminal is part of a £16.5million package of improvements to the Port and will further enhance the reputation of the Port as a hassle-free gateway to the continent. From the outset the new terminal has been designed to encompass the latest eco-technologies and sustainable products and systems and every aspect of the building has been created to have minimum impact on the environment around it. The terminal is the first public building in the country to use a sea water-source heat pump system, drastically reducing the carbon footprint of the terminal and ongoing running costs. The building has been designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM rating of “very good” with the aspiration of reaching “excellent”.

Details that are quick to install. Bailey I-Line Snap-On enables architects to add horizontal, vertical & curved detailing that can be installed using stand or mobile access. I-Line web is attached to the building and the feature flanges snapped into place, making for fast and economical handling on site.
