Bailey Total Building Envelope recruits new roofing technical manager

Cameron Payne, Roofing Technical Manager

With 2019 shaping up to be a big year for Bailey, it’s vital to have the strongest team at the forefront of the business. Enter Cameron Payne, new roofing technical manager, joining the company with six years of valuable industry experience.

Cameron joins Bailey with extensive knowledge and experience, having worked for the business for five years previously. Cameron explains: “I originally chose to work for Bailey as they are a well-established, professional company. I always wanted to be involved in the industry growing up and Bailey seemed like the perfect fit for me, joining as an estimator in the roofing department straight from school. It was here at Bailey where I first learnt the technicalities and progressed into spec writing, taught by some of the previous employees here.

“I was at Bailey for five years before moving away to gain experience with a different company, but when I saw the roofing technical manager job arise here, I was excited to apply. In my new role, I will be supporting area sales managers and clients with technical spec writing and CAD drawings when they are needed for projects. I will also be responsible for product development and product accreditation, as well as bringing support to the team when keeping up with the ever-developing legislation within the industry.

However, being there for customers and clients is Cameron’s number one priority, “The most important aspect of my job is providing customers with specifications and answering any questions and queries, as well as liaising with project managers to find the best solutions to customer needs and requirements.”

Cameron is also helping Bailey develop its commitment to the Safe2Torch pledge, ensuring the NRFC guidance is understood and implemented throughout the company at all stages of design, specification and installation. “Safe2Torch is a campaign that is really important to the whole team here at Bailey, and I am excited to be working on the project.”

Bailey’s roofing director, Luke Treadwell, is delighted to have Cameron on board, “This business is evolving quickly, and it is important we give our customers a world class customer service. We want to be able to assist our clients as much as we can and be the go-to, hassle-free supplier – Cameron is a significant step towards that goal. We are not only resourcing for today, ultimately we are resourcing for tomorrow.”

Cameron looks forward to growing as part of the team at Bailey and working on a variety of roofing projects.
